Day 1: Welcome to Ecuador

We are very happy that you have decided to visit Ecuador and excited that this wonderful trip through this beautiful South American country is about to start. Our guide will be waiting for you with a big smile at the airport to take you to your hotel, one very comfortable, luxury and with a spectacular view of Quito.

Day 2: Discovering the Indigenous and Spanish roots of the city crossed by the Equator line

Surrounded by awesome mountains, San Francisco de Quito is a city that captivates to all its visitors with the syncretism of the Indigenous and Spanish cultures that we will find in every corner. In our first day, we will visit the best conserved Latin American historical downtown; we will walk by its squares and contemplate some of its awesome churches. Our next stop, it is related with the exquisite chocolate. Did you know that Ecuador grows the best cocoa around the world? Yes, it is! You will test out while prepared a delicious desert with chocolate as main ingredient. Later on, we will go 37km to the north to taste a delicious lunch in a restaurant located on the crater border of one of two inhabited volcanoes around the world, Pululahua volcano. We cannot end this day, without a romantic kiss on the Equator line, both in different hemispheres. It will be a memorable experience!

Day 3: Romance in the slopes of the Ecuador highest active volcano

After a delicious breakfast, we will take the Panamerican Highway to the south. This route was built in 1923 to connect America, from Alaska to Buenos Aires. After, one hour and a half drive, we will arrive to Cotopaxi National Park, where is located, Cotopaxi, the highest active volcano of Ecuador, 5897masl. Its almost perfect conic shape gives a hypnotizing beauty to the landscape. We will arrive by car to 4500masl (14764ft). Then, we will walk to reach 4800masl (15748ft), where is located the Jose Rivas' shelter. It will be an excited and very secure experience, which you will complete at your own pace, while enjoying awesome landscapes. On your return, a great surprise will be waiting for you! Can you guess?

Day 4: Adventure in Baños de Agua Santa

Baños de Agua Santa is a small town located in an area of transition between Andes and Amazon region. Its inhabitants have been taken advantage of its wonderful location and landscapes for developing extreme sports and ecotourism ventures. This day, we will have the adrenaline at its limit, practicing one of the most exciting extreme activities, Canopy! From high, we will see amazing landscapes decorated with mountains, waterfalls and rivers.

Day 5: Roses and culture in the Ecuadorian Andes

Fields of the Ecuadorian Andes shine, illuminated with sunbeams. This is a determinant factor to cultivate high quality roses, which are appreciated around the world. Today, we will invite you to know a great variety of buttons and colors of the most exclusive Ecuadorian roses After that, we will go to Pujili to know about its pottery tradition by the hand of one of its most famous artisans. Here, we will also have the opportunity to enjoy the richness of the Andean folklore.

Day 6: Relax and comfort at 3200msn

Let us pamper you, while you enjoy the Andean landscapes and the hot springs emanate from active volcanoes. This exclusive place is Termas de Papallacta Spa hidden between mountains at 3200 masl.

Day 7: Looking for the world’s finest hats

In the morning, we will go to Mariscal Sucre airport to flight to Manta, a beautiful city located in the Pacific coast of Ecuador, where a new experience will start. At your arrival, our guide will be waiting to take you to visit a small town, where, skillful and patient artisans make the finest Straw hat around the world, known as Panama hat, but really Ecuadorian Hat. According to some historians, this appreciated handicraft has an ancestral origin. Valdivia and Chorrera indigenous cultures started to make it, between 3500 and 500 B.C. For its importance, it was recognized as Intangible Heritage of Humanity by Unesco in 2012. This day, we will visit to a craftsman to see the technique use to weave these hats. For sure, you will want to carry one with you. After that, you will go to your paradisiac hotel located from the sea, where you will stay for 3 nights.

Day 8: Magic experience in the dry forest

In the morning, we will take a walk to visit the farm where local people cultivate the vegetables used to prepare delicious dishes in the best restaurant of the Ecuadorian coast, Boca Valdivia. We will be witness of the careful process of cooking of a gourmet lunch prepared specially for you. You will enjoy this lunch under a leafy tree, surrounded by a wonderful landscape.

Day 9: Enjoying the paradisiacal Manabi’s beaches

This day will be of total relaxation! You could enjoy the beach, the refreshing swimming pool or just rest under the sun, feeling the sea breeze. If you need something, please let us know! A waiter will be ready to serve you, so your unique concern will be to enjoy! The magic end will be a wood fire on the beach. It will be unforgettable!

Day 10: Coming back to the Andes
